Dr Emmanuel Igah hails from Nigeria but is also a French national. He is a fully bilingual professional in English and French. Dr E. Igah's professional experience spans across a wide range of industrial activities and engagements, as well as teaching over the past three decades. He started in the eighties as an Assistant Project Manager in the Federal Capital Development Authority, Abuja, Nigeria, then still in its early stages of construction.

He joined Harrydray International Ltd as a Senior International Project Adviser with in 2019. Previous activities include consultancy missions on development-related projects with the United Nations, , World Bank, European Union, as well as Nigerian and French Governments, which have taken him to a great number of countries in Europe, Middle East, Africa, and North America.

He played a key role as Senior Manager in Escravos Gas-To-Liquids Project – EGTL, a nine billion dollar gas transformation mega-plant in Delta State in Southern Nigeria, for which the local contractors involved bestowed on him the "Bridge Builder Award", in recognition of his achievements through the empowerment of the local communities, by way of jobs, subcontracts, capacity building and corporate social responsibility.

Dr E. Igah serves as Consultant interfacing between investors, project promoters, technical partners and public entities in various projects, including infrastructure development. As early as in the 1980s, he advocated for the creation of a light rail mass transit system in Lagos metropolis, to reduce the legendary traffic jam in the then capital city of Nigeria. He participated in a study group on the South Korean High Speed Train project, while a Research Officer in CREPIF, Paris.

Dr E. Igah holds a Doctorate Degree (PhD) in Economic Geography and Development Planning from the University of Paris IV Sorbonne, as well as an International Master of Business Administration (IMBA) from the International School of Management - ISM, Paris/New York, both obtained after initial studies (Masters) in Architecture and Project Management in Paris, France. He was the Editor of the "Atlas of Nigeria" published for the Federal Government of Nigeria (English & French Editions).

He is also the publisher of the periodical compendium, "Nigeria Handbook – Knowing Nigeria", which showcases Nigeria to investors, business leaders, academia and administrators. Dr E. Igah was conferred in 2001 with the French National Order of Merit Award for his outstanding professional achievements
